This is really good for snack.
- 3 cups grated cassava or 1 pack frozen grated cassava
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- 5 drops of pandan essence
- 2 tsp lye water (lihiya) or as substitute 1 tbsp baking soda to 1 cup of water
- grated coconut for topping
- Mixed grated cassava, sugar, water and pandan essence.
- Add lye water while mixing.
- Pour into individual moulds.
- Steam until mixture becomes translucent.
- Once cooked, removed from moulds and roll in grated coconut and sugar.
